This pool is a low water pool. The current is really too strong in high water. On warm summer evenings fish can often be found in very shallow streamy water at the neck. In high water the fish are found opposite the rails on the left hand bank. In low water it is easy to fish down the left hand bank then cross over where the stream comes in. you can then carry straight on to Lower Ladder. In high water it is best to fish down to the end of Brown Bank on the left bank, then cross the weir and get in on the right hand bank just opposite the railings and carry on from there. |
